About me:
Hi There! My name is Matthew Bernier, and I'm a cartoonist from Brooklyn, New York. I only let Close, Personal Friends be MySpace friends- but I take that phrase very liberally indeed! Here is how you can become my Close, Personal Friend:
1: Over a period of years, get to know me in person, hang out with me, and be there for me in my best and worst moments, offering unflagging generosity, love, and support.
2: Be someone whose work I really like so I want to IMAGINE being your friend, or make others THINK I'm your friend.
2.5: Actually, I'll friend pretty much any cartoonists,publishers, editors, or professional associates, provided they're not huge choads.
3: Buy one of my comics. You'll be helping me pay for food and rent, and that makes you a Close, Personal Friend in my eyes for sure!
