Matthew Boone is a 6'5" blue eyed entertainer from Ripley, Tennessee. When this young man steps onto any stage he has the attention of every listener. He sings with feeling and conviction and when he belts out a song you know it's coming from the heart. With music being a part of his life since childhood, Matthew is able to sing anything from gospel, country, rock to southern rock. His career began in churches, charities, clubs and anywhere he could open his guitar case. Matthew is one of the newest Nashville Recording Artists. Recently he had the pleasure performing on Nashville Cowboy Church at the Texas Troubadour Theater. This has given him live exposure on World Wide Country Radio, XM Satellite Radio and live video broadcasting through www.nashvillecowboychurch.com. In September 2009, Matthew was presented with the "Rising Legend Award" by The National Traditional Country Music Association. Also in 2009, he recorded his self-titled album "Headed Southbound". Matthew's music is currently being aired on the radio and the internet on The Nashville Broadcasting Radio Network Worldwide. His music is also being heard in the states of Iowa, Pennsylvania, Connecticut, Florida, Texas, Tennessee, Missouri and www myspace.com/matthewboone03. Matthew has recently made debut on the Grinders Switch Radio Hour www.grindersswitchhour.com broadcasted live from the Minnie Pearl Museum. Matthew has showcased in several contest such as The Mid South Fair, Loretta Lynn Talent Search, National Traditional Country Festival in Le Mars Iowa and Loretta Lynn Songwriters Showcase. Matthew has also had several television appearances with local shows such as HEE HAW, Relay for Life HRL TV Ripley, TN. WREG TV Channel 3 at the Mid-South Fair, Memphis, TN and the Cerebral Palsy Fundraiser. And many more.... Matthew has had the honor of sharing the stage with great songwriters and performers such as: Jack Green, Alex Harvey, Joanne Cash, Jerry Foster, Bob Everhart and many more… Matthew says himself "I have come a long way since that crayon colored cardboard cutout guitar".
