MATTHEW HUDOBENKO PROJECT (MHP) started out with Matthew throwing all his lyrics and music ideas, he felt comfortable with, together.
He then played all the recorded tracks for his first CD while running a business working well over 80 hours a week.
In 2003 "5 Songs 5 Bucks", MHP's first CD, was released and "GIVIN IT BACK" was Honorably mentioned 2 years later in the 13'th annual BILLBOARD MAGAZINE WORLD SONG COMPETITION.
In 2005 MHP won the United Arts Battle of Bands, Opened for WHITE LION, DIZZY REED (of Guns n Roses) FOREIGNER, WHITESNAKE, THE MACHINE and then came the second CD entitled "5 after 5", another five song disc released at TOADS PLACE, upstairs in the private lounge, "LILLYS PAD".
In 2006, 200 copies of "5 After 5" were sent to American soldiers serving in Iraq. MHP played a series of Parties, smaller Clubs and later that year opened for LOUDNESS.
In 2007 MHP has yet some new Members, Lou Daddona on bass and David Wilson on drums, David played a couple shows back in in 2006.
ON SATURDAY APRIL 28'th 2007 , MHP OPENED FOR WOLFMOTHER AT THE WEBSTER THEATER in Hartford Ct. MHP was one of only 3 local Bands picked
for the show !
Matthew is writing songs for MHP's third CD, which will be a full length CD,and probably will have more writing input from current members unlike first two CD's that Matthew did all the writing for and performed almost all the tracks himself.
JUST IN: "FUEL" and "9 outta 10" have received Honorable Mention in the 14'th
annual BILLBOARD MAGAZINE WORLD SONG COMPETITION.
I ended up leaving at midnight, beat the snow home ;p
I just wanted to say thank you, hearing y'all perform was well worth the trip. Would do it again in a heartbeat ;), only gripe wish the set lasted longer, lol, ;p
Thank you for being so kind, and pleasant, and for the cd.
A true gentleman, musician, and class act... through and through. You made my evening :D
Definitely remind me about that benefit in August, I will make every effort to be there to soak up the tunes.
