Matthew Lilley is a singer/songwriter admittedly caught somewhere in the 1990s between the raw expression of grunge and the pop sensibility of alternative rock. Musically the songs range from folky acoustic tunes to hard rock anthems. Lyrically his writings reflect internal struggles and an ongoing journey for spiritual truth. This journey has brought Matthew to be a full-time missionary in the United States. He founded 6:22 Ministries in 2002, a non-profit organization based in Greenville, NC with a goal of unity and artistic creativity among students. In recent years 6:22 has become Matthew’s primary musical outlet. Matthew now travels with his wife Shepard to make music and speak at any opportunity.

Isa 33:21 But there, great is יהוה for us; a place of broad rivers, streams, in which no boat with oars sails, nor big ships pass by – Isa 33:22 for יהוה is our Judge, יהוה is our Lawgiver, יהוה is our Sovereign, He saves us.

Haha yeah we have found numerous meanings 2 abstained...one of which is purified, set apart from worldly things, giving up addictions! but we def. didnt want it to appear that we want to refrain from worship. we have thought about adding the word "for" after the word abstained! thanks 4 letting us know what you thought about our name, and God bless!
