Actor Matthew Preston hails from Pittsburgh, PA. He is an accomplished actor in film, television, commercials, theater, music videos, internet shows and voice over. One experience that Preston will never forget was when he stood in for Jensen Ackles in ..My Bloody Valentine 3-D... ..Preston was known as Dj QT when he hosted The Dj QT Radio Show from 2004-2007 (hear promos at the top of the page). After graduating college, Preston had a profound love for acting. Always being behind the camera as a writer (one piece was the Tribeca Film Festival applicant ..Driving Perception..) Preston decided to take a risk and have the spotlight hit him. ..His first gig came in early 2005 as Dirk Endicott on the radio soap opera ..Scripts and Scruples... When Dirk was deceased, Preston returned as Dirk's twin Dylan which he has been playing since 2006. Dylan was the first radio soap character to cross over to another audio serial known as ..Eye of The Storm... Preston's first television gig was in the summer of 2006 when he got to punk his friend on the TLC show ..Beauty Truth... ..In 2008, Preston tried theater and films; first starring as John Wilkes Booth in the outrageous monologue show ..Villains... He then starred as Jimmy in ..Thrown.., produced by the New Works Festival which kicked off its offical start of their fall season! His first film role was Jonathan, a love confused lead, in the short film ..Circle Choice... Next he tackled the challenging role of Devon Hemshire/Devina St. Croix (a priest in training who moonlights as a drag queen) for the thriller ..Public Image.., set to debut in early 2009. The next role was the ever conniving computer nerd Cooze in the short comedy ..High, How Are You?.. He also has a small role in the film ..Method... ..In early 2009, he played Charles the Dauphin and Joan's Brother in ..The Lark... He then took time off to train with Carnegie Mellon's very own Jill Wadsworth. Preston next worked on ..The Debt .., which was a part of the 48 Hour Film Festival. He also did a skit and a monologue for the PC-TV show ..Script to Screen while filming for the comedy web show Something to Be Desired as Josh the Intern... Blink and you might miss Preston's scarred hands in the horror film Sorority Row. Later that year, Preston made the move to New York City in which he graduated from The New York Film Academy. He also ended his two year run with the online radio talk show Buzzworthy Radio. In 2010, Preston hosted a live red carpet pre-show for Soap Opera Network at The 37th Annual Daytime Emmy Awards. Next it was a lead in the off broadway Neil Simon show Laughter on the 23rd Floor as Lucas.
