Matthew Rishaw;temporary terrestrial life form, observer, multi-instrumentalist, and part time recluse, mysteriously appeared at age three from an unknown origin.
Matthew spent his childhood at a very young age. This explains his reckless path towards individuality and eventually to years spent forgetting gravity and reversing probability. Without that compliance to become an indentured member of “ The Great United Industry", Matthew repossessed his soul and became a freelance observer and earthling.
Mr. Rishaw pursues a disciplined life style of complete self indulgence, a method developed by Matthew after years of enduring the claustrophobia of ordinary circumstances. He’s been greatly influenced by the subtle and lurking nature of the dream underworld, when words thoughts and broken images merge into one familiar moment, colliding with the absurdities of logic. His unorthodox approach to altered states of consciousness through audio experimentation could be the very roots of a new and limitless interpretation of artistic paradigms…. Or it could just turn out to be a relic life forms in the future might find repulsive.
Here so far is the “sum of some” of Matt's past achievements/failures:
Matthew experienced the joyful punishment and deeply convoluted world of "musick” through a fusion of Brasilian/jazz/ country western swing/ space rock/electronica…After spending too much time in stinky bars and” taco hell" Matthew then went to work on a diabolical master plan to assemble the monster hybrid self-contained studio unit known as “Total Orchestral Amusement Device” or “TOAD”. This is where Matt can be found, spinning knobs and tapping buttons with a demented laugh and a vacant stare .His obscured vision has been a contributing member of the “official underground “ on such projects as; sound tracks for independent films , some creepy audio files for secret cyber locations, incidental music for audio visual trade shows and numerous soundtracks for insomniacs (see discography) …Matthew is currently working on his “complete dream formula through audio atmospheric components” combining sound and hypnotic images…stay tuned.....
