I was an animation student at Bradford Uni. I am now graduated with 'First Class Honours'! Not that that made it any easier to get a job but it looks good framed on my wall!
My first love is music and I have been playing for as long as i can remember. The latest band I played in was make believe GIGANTIC playing the electric organ. We had such a great time! unfortunately it all ended rather suddenly after our first gig due to to other commitments (in a nut shell).
My latest musical adventure will be with Rory Dyer. (click his name and listen!) I will be helping him record his new album playing the bass and keyboards.
I recently produced a 'video EP' for Rory. This involved both filming and sound recording and culminated in a CD that contained 4 videos and MP3s of Rory playing. We gave out copies of the CD at a gig Rory played in Plymouth.
During my final year I made an animated music video for Seth Lakeman and found it to be the perfect melding of my love of art, animation and music.
I then joined Lindsay Dodd, a film maker and Matthew Buckley, a musician. Together they are known as PAD. It is my job to create an animated image for their music. This will initially take the form of a music video for their track 'The Flying Man.' The project will then be developed into a musical featuring the music of PAD and my animation. Unfortunately the project has been put on hold because Matthew has been in and out of hospital. Get well soon!
When I'm not working or playing music I like to go sailing and windsurfing, snorkelling and spearfishing and when theres no wind and the tides out I like to drive around in my '76 Triumph Spitfire convertible.
