and a rotating lineup of fibreglass cybernetic clowns.

Real live bass on Sixeight, Illusory Thing, Twin Pillars, Bellow, Paralysed, and My Heart Wrench by Mel W, who is non-cybernetic, and contains considerably less fibreglass.

*Special guest star Tash Simpson-Morgan (my daughter) on fab backing vocals: "Into A Hailstorm" and "Gethsemane Waiting".

Otherwise, everything you hear is played, sung, programmed, recorded, produced by MSM.

Influences The Church, Radiohead, You Am I, Muse, The Smiths, Bowie, Beatles... and a cast with multiple zeroes.
Sounds Like Any and all of the above, mixed together in a giant machine-type-thing and vaporised into a pure inhalable essence.

   About Matthew Simpson-Morgan

Matthew currently resides in sunny Canberra, Australia... Born in Oxford England to Aussie parents then living overseas, the 1 year old Matthew arrived in Australia which would become his home country. Childhood was spent roughly half in Canberra and half in Brisbane, until a full circle return to Canberra was made after finishing secondary school.

Through the 80s and 90s Matthew played in a number of bands, most notably The Fugitives and The Doorkeepers - both of which attracted interest and following in Canberra. Other shorter-lived outfits were more experimental in style: The Lantern, The Swan Song, and Grandview Road. This period also included several collaborative recording projects.

Recent years have consisted largely of studio hermitdom - and thus, expanding a large catalogue of recorded original material, some of which can be heard here. There is also a double album available from iTunes, eMusic and Amazon.

And so while a new band quietly coalesces in the wings, Matthew will be playing solo acoustic gigs all over the place.

You can buy Matthew's online album "Songs In Blue And Green" from iTunes! 23 tracks of lush, expansive guitar rock. Also available as individual songs. Matthew Simpson-Morgan - Songs In Blue and Green
