1984, a friend said: if you never study a song, your impros will not grow! So I tried exactly that...

1985 I had bad back pains and needed TaiChi and relaxing music - and could not find any in my intellectual record collection. So I started to make it myself, running my polydistortion guitar directly into a delay and controlling feedback with a pedal - I found Looping! And the back became better and new worlds opened and music became self terapy...

1986 I moved to Rio de Janeiro and met marvelous musicians like Marcio Miranda, Claudio Nucci, Marcelo Bernardes, Toinho Senna, Rafael Rabelo..., who were interested in my technology and New Age art. Maybe the most creative time - since I had no laboratory and only dreamt of electronics...

1992 I built the Loop Delay, which turned into the Echoplex, and recorded the first BrotherSync session with David Hopkins!

1993 I moved to Salvador Bahia and went into deeper processes with solo looping and Ayahuasca...

2002 I finished the Echoplex developpement and discovered that I did not just need to relax, but move! The music became more rhythmic, tribal... with Bira Reis, Giba Conceicao, and more technological with Danilo Carvalho...
