MySpace a place for friends

Libelul is a solo project born in brusseIs in 2001. This is when I came to Belgium for three years to study recording. It lead me naturaly to have a name and a framework for my project. Something special happened between microphones and I. Playing with the sounds of « everyday life », shaking them, and mixing them to melodies became my recipe for a dreamer's world yet fatalist, my own. These belgian years opened me the doors of a new musical horizon, discovering the sounds was a real step forward in my composition works.
I try to play and record every instrument myself. My first musical learnings were on classical piano, then followed the guitar that I learned on my own. But I also work with other people sometimes and I especially like Emerson Lescot's collaboration for lyrics.
I must admit that the loneliness at the night is a most determining side in my work. It's just me, silence and nature. People often say I make music that is close to nature, I assume this should be true.
Libelul plays live with Alio on the bass and keyboards...

In the mean time I also work for a living in the classical music field. Working as a sound engineer on recordings for labels such as Ysayerecords, Aeon, Intrada, Mirare.
