Yeah, they are building a bridge over the canyon and closing it to the public soon. I was on a Metropolitan Water/Board of Reclamation Tour for work. It was pretty cool!
Thursday Evening Surf Report Location: 11th street (I know, what happened to Wind&Sea) Conditions: total sloppy waist to chest surf) Wave Count: 15 in 1.5 hours Did I rip: Yes, caught some nice faces with enough time to do some moves. Amount of Salt Water Consumed: 1 gallon Did I see death?: Yes I saw the "Barney!" He had a 9ft Long Board. If I introduced myself, he could have very well killed me.
The tree burning was awesome... maybe this can become an annual festivity. Maybe next year we should get a bigger tree, though...we could be like Clark Griswold and go out to a forest and chop down the biggest tree we can find. Maybe drive up to the Redwood Forest. You have a Ford... we can just strap it to the top. Built Ford tough. That's their motto, right?
