Mattina Scarpino began trying her hand at writing original songs at fourteen. A year later, she had her first recording under her belt. By the age of seventeen she was well on her way to a career in music by winning the American Talent Search. After attending the Youth Performing Arts School for concert piano, she moved to Orlando, FL to later receive her degree in Audio Engineering and Sound reinforcement. Gaining professionalism through countless first hand experiences with a remarkable ability to sing, write, produce and engineer, Mattina found herself working with top notch Pop and R&B artists across the nation.

Along with her television appearances on American Idol Rewind and CMT’s Can You Duet, Mattina also performs to help support the American Heart Association and the Lili Claire Foundation. Commanding attention with such a powerful voice, much like her musical influences Stevie Wonder, Janis Joplin, Otis Redding and Tina Turner, she will be touring with Women on Fire: Real Women, Real Stories in September of 09 – a show dedicated to inspiring the lives of Women.

Mattina can be found dazzling audiences with her original style and riveting vocals. With a nod to Motown, Mattina is destined to bring a new element to the music entertainment industry, leaving the men melting and the women screaming, “You go girl!”
