MySpace a place for friends

Born near London, UK, my interest in music started at a young age. Having begun learning piano at 11, my interests in music branched out, learning Guitar and Drums soon after. After playing in numerous Rock and Jazz based ensembles it became clear to me that my interests truly lay in composition, song writing and production.

A graduate at the University of Hertfordshire, my journey as a composer has led me to working on numerous projects such as Orchestral scores for short films, collaborations with vocalists and other musicians and various other compositions ranging from Classical style to Electronic works and almost everything in between.

This year I have worked on American film ‘Switching Places’ directed by Harry Sando Jr, ‘Our Time To Live’ for British film company Jackson and Hill Productions and ‘The Hollywood Movie Project’ which features some of my most action-packed music to date.

The last few films I have worked on effectively demonstrate the vast palette of sounds, textures and genres that I can work with. ‘Kurfürstendamm Nuclear Bunker’s soundtrack is an intriguing blend of ambient sounds and manipulated recordings, ‘Switching Places’ which features and more conventional film score, ‘Our Time To Live’ which features a track in the style of Caribbean music on steel pans and ‘The Hollywood Movie Project’ which features the use of experimental percussion and fusions of orchestral and dance music.

I have recently agreed to compose the music for Australian film ‘The Shake Off’ and will continue my collaborative partnership with Harry Sando Jr. with his new film ‘Straight From The Heart’. Both of these films are due out later in the summer and show the interest in my work being gained internationally. I am interested in continuing my collaborations with film-makers, exploring the endless possibilities that this field of work provides.

Outside of film, I continue to write music which demonstrates variety and originality from experimental orchestral music to avant-garde electronic and acousmatic works.

I have had several of my other works performed in the past including ‘Bad Weather’ a short piano piece that experiments with the use of three and five bar phrases in each hand, ‘The Elements’ a harp piece in four movements (Fire, Air, Water and Earth) and ‘The Mekong River’, an experimental piece for Trombone and a digitally manipulated recording.
