These songs were chosen and this album was recorded for the women in our lives, our friends, and just for the fun of making some music.
Matt will have to come in here and tell you who his influences are. If you ask Cam, his vocal stylings are primarily influenced by thrashcore beat boxing, and that game "Simon."
Cam's influences are the funk trilogy: James Brown, Sly Stone, George Clinton; and countless others: Miles, Coltrane, Sco, Grant Green, Dexter Gordon, Maceo Parker, Fred Wesley, Jimi, Wes Montgomery, Jimmy Smith, Jimmy McGriff, Idris Muhammad, Clyde Stubblefield, Jabo Starks, Catfish Collins, Prince, The Roots, Aceyalone, A Tribe Called Quest, Archie Shepp, The Meters, and on and on and on and on...

Music on a clear day near a couple telephone poles, with some streaky clouds in the sky.

Cameron Mizell - Guitars
Recorded 2001 in St. Louis, MO.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Matt Ketteman and Cameron Mizell are longtime friends who have played music in a variety of settings as long as it meant having a good time. That rapport is evident in these eight recordings, made one summer on a whim. Matt's warm baritone can carry each song alone, but Cameron's guitar tracks are a perfect foil, empathizing with each inflection. While the interpretations stay close to the originals, it is apparent both artists have internalized the music and enjoy performing them together.
Matt Ketteman has been singing since 1994. In 1999, while attending Missouri State University, he formed the Springfield, Missouri duo Mr. Green with singer-songwriter John Hull. He also performed and recorded with SMU’s accapella group The Beartones. He now teaches elementary school music in his hometown, St. Louis, Missouri.
Cameron Mizell, originally from St. Louis, MO where he met Matt Ketteman, now resides in Brooklyn, NY. He has two other albums available. His self titled debut, “Cameron Mizell,” was recorded in 2004 in Indiana and his more recent EP, “The EPic of Chester Bustamante,” was recorded in 2006. Currently, he is leading an organ trio that performs regularly in the New York City area. He is thrilled to finally be able to release the "Follow Through" recordings and showcase another side of his playing.

Comme ces fleurs que j ai prises dans mon jardin ou un doux coeur se releve a nos yeux surpris, .. le coeur humain est souvent cache..il suffit d aller au dela des apparences. Je te souhaite un week end enchanteur.. amitie

Correspondences
Nature is a temple where living pillars
Let escape sometimes confused words;
Man traverses it through forests of symbols
That observe him with familiar glances.
Like long echoes that intermingle from afar
In a dark and profound unity,
Vast like the night and like the light,
The perfumes, the colors and the sounds respond.
There are perfumes fresh like the skin of infants
Sweet like oboes, green like prairies,
-And others corrupted, rich and triumphant
That have the expanse of infinite things,
Like ambergris, musk, balsam and incense,
Which sing the ecstasies of the mind and senses.
Correspondances
