Some mix of the above. It's rock n' roll...let's not overthink this.
Matt and The Breakdown are a new Brooklyn band. They are currently working on an EP with producers The Brooklyn Sheiks (Tommy Mokas and Nick Rosenthal) at Casa Nova Studios. The first finished songs - "I Don't Think It's Right, "Good Enough", and "In The Clubs" - showcase the band's unique mix of psychedelic rock, pop hooks, and soulful grooves.
Matt Lenny started playing music as a teenager in Oklahoma when a local preacher handed him a guitar and told him to make music. After moving to Chicago and spending several years as a touring sideman and lead guitarist for various indie rock bands, Matt relocated to Brooklyn and began focusing on his own songwriting.
In addition to his own band, Matt continues to record as a guitarist with Chicago favorites Oh My God and will be featured on their upcoming album. He is also a member of Bucky Hayes and the Radio, and lent his guitar, vocal, and production skills to their eponymous debut CD.
Hey Matt- Hope you are well out there. I'm returning to NYC for a while starting with a show at LIVING ROOM on Friday, April 3rd. Also got a new song, 'Until I See Her Again' up this week. Hope you enjoy and to see you soon sometime.

I promise to not be terrible. Nay, I promise to even be pretty good. And if I let you down, I promise to make it up to you.
(No, i haven't decided how yet, but I'm thinking something along the lines of awkwardly long hugs, chocolate milk, or having your back in an argument someday.)
Hey Matt! I hope you're feeling better. I know it's a long road, but at least you're out of the hospital now. Robert and I are praying for you and hope you fully recover SOON so you can come visit the Carolinas!!!! Take care!!!
