About me: Psy-Co resident, co-promoter,Antiworld resident, International and uk star Matt Loraine has recently had the fine opportunity of playing alongside some of the biggest names within the international scene at Antiworld’s massive events with We Love Astrix 001 event at reverred London venue Turnmills the corrinet main stage Brixton acadamy main stage,070707 Antiworld festival, And main stage at Heavon london for Knowhere. Matt has had a steady flow of gigs rubbing shoulders with Psy-Trance giants including Delerious SUB 6 Pixel EVP Dejavoo Digit Cult Astrix M theory Rincidink John phantsam Beatneck Infected mushroom Eskimo and loads more massive names in the scene. Matt has also performed at the Nova Festival in Belgium and will be at the life festival in sunny Ireland also mallorca and ibiza in the summer, Matt has also had regular mixes on Ministry of Sound’s Euphoria radio show and stars on the line-up at massive AntiWorld events on a regular basis. His mix series, the exclusive ‘Pick Me Up’ collection is now it in it’s third volume after the second receiving applause from widespread audiences. Matt Loraine started his DJ'ing career in 1995 as one of the first hard dance DJ's in Portsmouth and his 1st booking came 3 months after buying his own decks! Matts father Andy loraine gave his demmo to sunday sesions and they booked him! Matt also soon after won the portsmouth hard house compition then went on to get to the finals in the midlands mixing compition where his good mate Tony heron who won and went on to be one of the best hard dance djs around. Matt has played at club nights such as Oblivion, Contact, Frenzik, Lunartick, Sunday Sessions, World Aid Day, Transcend, Space Cadet, and Ying Yang. Matt's favourite party of the time was the legendary Hayling Island beach parties where attendance was over 1,000 ravers. Having had a break for a while from the scene Matt started collecting psychedelic trance and new age trance. He was invited to play the first psychedelic trance set for Steamin Boat parties in 2005. Matt has built a solid reputation as one of the Uk's top psy trance DJ's. His style is so defined and developed that you cannot fail to miss his signature sounds when he is on the decks. Matt has successfully attracted the attention of psy trance legends AntiWorld and will be appearing at future events performing for them. In his career Matt has played with the most famous hard dance and the worlds most famous psy trance DJ's including Astrix and DJ Kristian EvP dejavu Dodgi cult and he is part of the psy-co crew run by his good friends Trevor and Jim. Together with their team they run the South coast’s most successful psy-co events.
Matt performs every event with complete passion for his art and is respected for his dedication to the scene and helping to put psy-trance firmly on the music map. With such grounded attitude and amazing talent Matt Loraine is set for big things indeed.
October 2006 saw psy-co (psychedelic co-operative) with their first party and had a very special guest, the amazing Astrix. Totally shocking, the mainly hard dance crowd with a 20K function one sound system and 15 separate projection (never achieved in clubbing before) this production is their bench mark as well as amazing guest DJ's such as Astrix, DJ Kristian, Matt Loraine, EvP, Ryan Bushell, Sutek,Digi cult Dejavu and Justin Swales. The whole thing goes from strength to strength.

Astrix returns to the UK for his most ambitious tour yet. On Fri 30 January he makes his debut at Bgham’s Q Club alongside local legend Sabretooth, who’ll be launching his new album, and Dejavoo live. Then on the Sat he’s following in the footsteps of dance music greats Tiesto, Paul van Dyk and Infected, taking on one of the world’s top venues, the o2’s incredible Indigo. As well as playing a live set of upfront tracks from his forthcoming third album ‘Red Means Distortion’ — and of course all the classic tracks that have kept him in the DJ Magazine Top 50 for the third year running — he’ll be launching new digital EP ‘One Step Ahead’, a limited edition multi-media production available on USB stick only. He’ll also be bringing along HOMmega label mates X-noiZe, Krunch and Delirious, who’ll be joined by the Antiworld residents. With X-noiZe and Krunch launching their new albums ‘Wheel of Misfortune’ and ‘Booster’, this promises to be one of THE psy trance events of 2009. The credit crunch is hitting everyone hard and we know you want to party more than ever… so we’re keeping advance ticket prices as low as we can. As our New Year’s present to our loyal fans, all advance tickets are being kept to just £20 (London)/£12 (Bgham) and capacity restricted to 1200 (London)/600 (Bgham).
