For the last 13 or 14 years, I have devoted countless hours to my many many guitars - from the early days learning the riffs of Nirvana and Megadeth, into the world of Satriani and Vai, the blues infused solos of Gary Moore and Stevie Ray Vaughan, then into the acoustical realms of Gordon Giltrap, Nick Drake, Eric Roche and beyond!
In the main I work as a guitar teacher in the Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire area, also working 3 days a week at Hardy Smith Music in Sutton in Ashfield, selling everything from guitars to clarinet reeds!
I can be seen performing across the country, either in pubs and bars or at the various shows for Cort guitars. Keep checking back for upcoming gigs!
I also perform and record with the extremely talented bassist (and former Saturday lad) Dave Tryner, who is also a Cort endorsee. Visit his MySpace at www.myspace.com/davetryner
For any enquiries, or if you are interested in ordering a copy my first cd Red Train A' Comin' or my brand new cd Whatever Next, please send an email to mattmarriottacoustic@gmail.com For cd enquiries, please quote "CD" in the subject title!
Twas a pleasure seeing you perform in Melrose and meeting you.
Young Ben (at Merlin Music yesterday) chose the Cort Acoustic with in-built pick-up system and tuner - great choice and thanks for taking time with him. He's inspired now and wants to learn how to learn your "Cat Tapping" style.
All the very best with the rest of the demo tour.
PS: Once we're up and running, might get you back up here at some point in the New Year to demo your repetroire for our students, pending your kind permission and schedule permitting - will keep ya posted

hey matt (about the bulletin) i dnt know the guitarists name but he does have good neck control. i agree with the mistakes after listening to it i have found that some of the solo that he does play doesnt neccessarily go with the voice of the song
