Greetings
I am Matt McCarthy, a professional trumpet player and composer/arranger working out of the Central Florida area.
I play trumpet and write for Orlando's "Swing in Time." Other bands I play with include the grammy-award-winning Sam Rivers' Rivbea Orchestra, Dan McMillion's High Octane band, JunkieRush, the Legendary JC's, and other local bands. I also work in the bands of Walt Disney World, including the Candlelight Processional Orchestra/Fanfare Trumpets. Somehow I also manage to frequent many of the local jazz jam sessions, most notably the one at Natura on University Blvd.
Additionally, I also am an active arranger/composer. Notable projects include an all-original album/composition called "Astroasis." Swing in Time's "Blue Skies" features 9 arrangements and 3 original compositions. I had 8 featured arrangements on "a Christmas Gift from the Family at Sonic Cauldron" including one that featured Sam Rivers. This album continues to receive regular seasonal airplay on WUCF 89.9. I arrange marching band shows, many of which are performed by state finalist bands.
There is an all original big band album in the works...

I was looking on the band site, saw "Prelude to Act II and Maypole Dances" and just had to say, where are the rips you promised? And whats with 6/8? You know I can't read triple meter.
i used google dictonary and i must agree, that is infact an ommited phrase that is understood but is necessary to make a complete syntactical construction.
Oh man, I like aced my solo, except he only gave me an excellent, but this is a judge who gave out 2 superiors in 5 and 1/2 hours. And then I got a superior on my quartet, so I get to go to states!
Hey Matt, are you still mad at me for texting you? I hope we can still be friends. You didn't answer the phone the day I wanted to go to the beach. I wanted to invite you. Next time buddy!
