2005 was the year MDC, real name Matt Chua, graced the Hip-Hop scene with his presence. Back then, he formed the group still known today as the MC Army and broke the barriers with their debut album "Marshall Law." 2006, Chua broke away from the group to work on what was a mixtape then turned album titled "Just A Glimpse." With so much to say and with the ability to do the project however he wanted, he touched on many aspects of his earliest years starting out and what people truly thought of the road he took. The success of "Just A Glimpse" carried a little farther than expected when it finally turned the attentions of many people within the music community towards the young up-and-coming rapper. MDC slowly became a name that took dominance in certain parts of the east coast. His writing style and flow is certainly marked as unique with an incredible play on words as well as his distinct charisma that few possess. Chua has shown countless amounts of will power to do absolutely anything to hold down the position he's worked for, and with that mindset plus an unpredictable behavior, MDC is a force to be reckoned with, and it follows with his sophmore album "Curse Of The 2s." After the two year hiatus, MDC came back with a whole new arsenal of lyrics and delivery that has left the competition star-struck at the growth of the young emcee. Chua truly steps up in the biggest way by expanding his vocabulary as well as his variety of different flows and concepts. The Curse Of The 2s could truly be an underground classic of it's time, as it touches on all aspects of the spectrum that shows the versatility Chua strives for. MDC was then asked in 2009 to team up with Hustler Records and released his third album and what is now being called his best work ever. "Be Easy" puts MDC in a brand new environment where growth of his skills and fans can come from everywhere. With his concept of bringing it back to the "old days" Chua completed the album without flaws including not cursing and putting his seriousness aside to create a masterpiece that literally everyone can enjoy.
