I'm a sports junkie. I love to play them and watch them. I also love music and playin guitar (although I'm not very good) I really enjoy young adults and hearing their views on things. I also love to read, if I had the time, I'd probably spend most of my day reading.
Music
Too many to list.... including styles. Pretty much anything but country and rap.... I grew up with a very healthy love of music. There is always something on in my home. Current favorites are Reliant K, Barlow Girl and Superchic[K]. Just got the new Half Past Forever cd and it's growing on me.
Movies
I like a LOT of movies, but my numero uno would have to be the LORD OF THE RINGS!!! (and yes I count them as one story) Absolutely love them... if you don't believe me ask my wife... or just come over and play one of my 3 LOTR video games, LOTR risk, monopoly, trivial pursuit or play with my frodo doll, ha (that was a gag gift from jennifer)
Television
Love watching sports. We also watch a lot of pbs kids, toon disney and Nick jr. (We got an 18 mo. old, what do you expect) My favorite series are Heroes and scrubs. But again I'll watch about anything.
Books
Scripture is my lifeblood. Ted Dekkar is my favorite author. I love all of his fiction works, and his non-fiction book is really messin with my thinking (in a good way :D) I also like Frank Peretti, The Chronicles of Narnia, Harry Potter, and most any fantasy series.
Heroes
My wife, Jennifer, is my biggest hero now. It was astonishing to watch her deal with the changing body, hormones, and stresses of pregnancy with such grace and patience. I will forever be in awe of her. My other heroes are my brothers Kevin and Nick. They are both my heroes for different reasons. But it's definitely them.
About me: K, so it's been a while since I edited all this and there's no time like the present. My name's Matt. I live next to the cow in the field in Illinois. I'm dangerously close to 30. I'm married to the most patient and compassionate woman in the world. I have my own private demolition crew known as my daughter, a.k.a. Hurricane Kaylee. I work lots of part time jobs in order to have time to volunteer in the community and the schools. I'm on staff at Cornerstone Fellowship. I head up the junior/senior high ministries at the moment, but I don't really don't see myself as a "youth pastor", if you don't know what I mean, feel free to ask. I'm always up for a conversation, it can be serious or random, I don't care. I tend to talk 100 miles an hour and often say stupid stuff, but that's me. :D Feel free to say hey. No flippin way! I have friends and family who work there. Tell him if he needs help in a new city to look me up. Does he have a myspace page? I might even have some friends that I work with who might be interested in a roomate if he is interested.Give me a few days and after Christmas I might have some places for him to take a look at. Oh and be sure to let him know that from what I hear, he is working for an awesome company.
Lee's Summit has blown up since I lived there, however I still work there and have a friend who is currently looking to rent as well. I will ask her if there are any hot spots right now. What will he be doing in our neck of the woods?
