I started writing and performing about 4 years ago locally just sort of out of the blue and now I cant get enough. I am enjoying life and living it. We just recently formed a great band and started playing out regularly. I hope to get some videos on here soon. I hope you enjoy my originals I have tons more but cant seem to find time for the studio.
Thanks so much to Mark Narmore and Daniel Beard for letting me record Halleluiah Alabama. It is a great song!! I am excited about the first cuts of my upcoming album. I ve been getting regular radio plays on a local station WQXD 97.3 Ive been writing for a few years now and have many songs of which I am currently recording for a full length album. Some are gospel some are americana and country, some are more folk rock. I hope people enjoy them. Daniel Beard at MUSIEK is currently producing my first album!!!! The album should be ready in a month or two or ever how long it takes for us to get it done right. I have a short 5 song mostly acoustic EP available if you would like a copy just send me a message. It is going to be GREAT. I have been working with people like Walt Aldridge, Kelvin Wooten and Daniel Beard to make this as good as we can. I have also been able to write with Jim Parker on the song Ghost Town on my page.

Matt, Thanks for visiting our MySpace site and being our new friend. We hope that all is well in your life and in Athens. Black Angel will be releasing our third album in two years on Earth Day April 22, 2009. It is called "O' San Francisco". We asked Tiffany Lowe, granddaughter of Johnny Cash and June Carter Cash (and daughter of country singer, Carlene Carter, and British rocker, Nick Lowe) to sing on the album. The top picture below is of Tiffany in the studio recording with us. The album is dedicated to a close associate of Black Angel who recently died who was a big Johnny Cash fan. We also have former Johnny Cash drummer, Danny Darling, playing on the album. We hope to be touring soon and we may be playing shows with former Black Angel singer, Audrey (Mrs. Ike) Turner. The bottom picture is of Black Angel playing at The Roxy in Los Angeles a few years ago with (left to right): Tomeka Haywood; me; Audrey Turner; and Ronnie Turner (son of Ike and Tina Turner on bass).
