About Matt Reid

Started piano lessons in Grade One. Toured and put out albums with Confidence Band (1998-2001) and Death by Nostalgia (2002-2005). Turned thirty and decided to bite the bullet and write/perform under my own name. Taught myself how to use GarageBand over the March break of 2007 and made some scrappy demos. Enlisted a crack band, began playing again that summer. Working on a full length of old and new favourites with some lovely guest artists.

melissa	Aug 12 2007 11:32 PM thanks for the art comments matt! yeah, that is the first ever album art (but that album came out at least a year ago or so). that new profile pic was actually done at jon claytor's request as artwork for the 10 "sneak preview" snailhouse tribute albums that were supposed to be for sale at sappy. but it never happened, so here it is on myspace. it was great seeing you too! i didn't catch your fire works or most of the final (fantastic) bands because i was just too exhausted (and went to bed!). plus, claudine told me eric's trip will be playing in halifax in september, so i figured i could see them then. :) melissa
