About MATT SKIBA

Front man for Chicago punk outfit the ALKALINE TRIO, Matt Skiba has dabbled in solo work for the past 8 years. Having toured solo on the 2001 PLEA FOR PEACE TOUR, Matt was given his first taste of playing stripped down music via voice and guitar in front of a live audience. In the summer of 2002, Mr. Skiba released his only solo release in the form of a split with 7 SECONDS front man KEVIN SECONDS. 2007 saw Matt lend his talents to friend CHUCK RAGAN'S solo album and a co-headlining tour followed with a string of sold out shows. The tour with CHUCK resulted in a kick start to do more solo stuff. Hopefully 2008 will tally in some kind of physical release and shows here and there(or even a tour?) in between his busy schedule with the ALKALINE TRIO.
