Influences
MUSIC:
Influence is really a strange question because everything that you see or hear or smell or experience in your life moves you in one direction or the other. If you're adrift at sea, you can either follow the current and let life take you, or you can stick your oars in the water and start moving where YOU want to go. I choose the latter path and it has made all the difference.
What I write mostly comes from observing people, and listening to their stories - even when they don't know I'm listening.
My collection consists of music recorded over the last 100 years on record, 8 track, cassette, CD, and digital. What I listen to and what I play varies by mood or by season. In general, I like anything that breaks ground or refuses to follow the rules, anything that excites or incites.
I'm particularly intrigued by artists and performers who attempt to stimulate all the senses. If something is moving or pleasing visually in addition to aurally, I'm more inclined to pay attention. If atmosphere is created by which all five senses are stimulated - I'm sold.
MOTION: I love old movies and comedians. Andy Kaufman, Charlie Chaplin, Buster Keaton, and the Marx Brothers rank among my heroes. I also love old road, sci-fi, low budget and B-movies like the type lampooned on Mystery Science Theater 3000.
SIGHTS: Big eye and black velvet paintings, architecture, and waterways.

Clara :) x If you'd like to be kept up to date with details of my album which is due to be released soon then please subscribe to my blog. Our fine and furry new single 'C-c-c-cat,' is out NOW and available on CD, digital download and shiny white vinyl but there's limited copies so be sure to pick up yrs pronto,
Trombone is WAY cooler than the uke and much more versatile. You really can't sit in with a blues band with a Ukulele...or you had better be a bad ass if you try (see:Jake Shimabukuro for a seriously bad-ass Uke player)
Thanks a ton Matt. I've been giving your jams a few listens lately. I like them all but think dragonfly's really cool with the background instrumentation. Keep up the good work.
HEY MATT THANKS FOR THE ADD I ENJOY YOUR MUSIC IF YOU GET A CHANCE TAKE A LISTEN TO MY SONG "FLIGHT 3407" WOULD LOVE YOUR OPINION THANKS TERRY http://www.myspace.com/tbtong
hey matt, actually that was the plan right up until last week, however we found a good sale on an online site weve heard about so went that route for the EP. We only had 300 produced for now though so it may still get used. If you can make it were having a big show the 21st and releasing it then!
Just stopping by to say "HI"
I hope your day is terrific!
I wish you continued success in all you do.
Goodnight now and may God bless.
