Matt has an overriding passion for the Blues although some of his music reflects other interests in rock, jazz and fusion. The music is mainly instrumental. Matt is known for his emotive guitar soloing which ranges from a cry to a growl! Based in the UK he markets his music via the internet as an independent artist.

Matt has been playing and writing music for too many years now and has worked with some incredibly talented people through many bands and recording sessions. First real band was probably Raw Deal. This was followed by Lautrec. Next Matt found himself playing, writing and recording with Phil Savage in Savage. During this time Phil and Matt recorded with Ruby Turner, Steve Palmer and others. Next came a brief spell with Visa but again linked up with Phil in Phil Savage and The Accountants. The Blues Association was the next band and was fronted by Pete Zimmer. Following the New Flyers yet another band with Phil! Matt formed Down'n'Dirty, a formidable blues outfit, with singer Dave Edwards. During early 1999 Matt then persued a solo career spanning 8 cd albums marketed through the intenet gaining international recognition. Also during this period, Sept 2001, Matt recorded and produced The Nashville Sessions CD in the USA with the Blues Allstars and also many song collaborations with mp3.com artists in the USA & Canada including Patti Sterling, Jasper Mills Band, Bob Johnson and The Funkdawgs amongst many others. Recently Matt has been active playing with local electric pub band Cold Shot and also as part of TNT with acoustic bluesman Tony Portlock.
