Born and raised in Des Moines, Iowa. Started bass at 16 - wanting to know everything Geddy Lee of Rush played, but eventually broadening my horizons a bit. I started playing guitar at 22 or so during graduate school when I wasn't playing with a band (solo bass only goes so far). I'm an astronomer by day - professor at Florida Tech in Melbourne - but still like to do some playing and recording of music in my off hours. I'm looking for an interesting project to get involved in (Fusion and/or Progressive Rock). During the day you can find me at Florida Institute of Technology teaching Astronomy and Physics. Thanks for the add, Matt! Man, that Spector photo is wonderful. Is that one yours? I own the very first translucent black Spector...it's more than a decade old. Also one of the very few with a fiber optic top dot system (no longer available, sad to say.) Yeah, the one in the photo above...the stage lights gave it a green overlay... Anyhoo....
