Matt Wyllie's been a singer since he could walk. The Canadian-born artist has been creating art for years. From singing, and studying different musical instruments, to painting and writing poetry, Matt Wyllie is easily one of Canada's most impressive young artists.
Still living in his hometown of Prince Albert, Saskatchewan, Matt has been playing local festivals and events since he was only twelve years old. The singer has now started work on his own material, hoping to break in to the music industry with an independent recording.
People have described Matt's style in several different ways. He's touched on everything from Classical, Operatic vocals to aggressive, hard Metal vocals. A truly flexible artist, Matt is an avid collaborator and hopes to find other artists to work with.
Matt almost always has side projects going on. Here's a quick preview of some of them
Record Label - Matt's been highly influenced by self made artists and hopes to make himself in their image. He's curious how record labels work and is doing research in to starting his own.
Poetry & Painting - Matt's been a poet and a painter almost as long as he's been singing. He's currently working on writing and painting for a collection he plans on releasing in the form of a book. The book has been picked up by Lulu publishing and should hopefully be out by the end of 2008. The tentative Title for the collection is [b][i]The Baron[/i][/b]. Matt is very excited about releasing his first book and will continue to update as things advance.
