Matt Chamberlain, "The Steves" - Gadd, Jordan and Ferrone, Ringo (duh) Mitch Mitchell, John Bonham, David Garibaldi, Neil Peart, mountain biking, Eli and Isaac, quiet walks on the beach, stuffed animal parades and that guy who played at that place with whats his name. There are also many great local drummers who have inspired me. Columbus had the great jazz scene with guys like Jim Rupp and of course, Nashville has been an awesome resource, too. Its great to know that guys like Gregg Morrow, Chad Cromwell and Shannon Forest share the same zip code with me.
Born and raised in Columbus Ohio, I caught the music bug early. When I was 7 years old, my best friends father was in the entertainment business. Hanging out at rehearsals and on the tour buses sold me on the idea of being a musician, or at the very least, a drummer. All this lead to spending my high school years at Fort Hayes vocational school for music and Capital University Conservatory of Music for college. The diversity in Columbus gave the chance to play with many great players doing many different styles - from Big Band and Brazilian to Afro-Cuban and Fusion. All the while, I was doing my share of rock and top 40 gigs.
I moved to Nashville in the summer of 1999. Working as a freelance drummer in Nashville has taken me all over the U.S. and overseas to places like Japan and the Middle East. The country music scene keeps me busy all over Nashville- in the Lower Broadway District, the Blue Bird Café and the Grand Ole Opry - and on tour both regionally and nationally, including the Wrights, Mark Selby, Eddy Raven, Billy Dean and Michelle Wright. Most recently, you might catch me with one of the following: Savannah Jack, Todd Sansom or Jason Jones. I've been asked to sub one or two gigs for some great folks like SheDaisy, Jo Dee Messina, Carolina Rain, Danielle Peck and Steve Holy. The large number of great songwriters in this town keep me going full time both live and in the studio. I've been able to hang up my name tag and hair net for good!

Thank you to all those who supported my live performance at Club Heaven in Seattle, Washington for the Seattle Music Revival. This is an event that will help define the Seattle music scene.
Yeah, sorry there was no bag with the dime. that's always a sucker punch to the stomach. And I don't think you're wearing out your welcome. Half the people in Franklin don't understand the concept of music anyway, they just like to listen. Even if the sound system was kinda like "wearing a purple shirt with salmon colored jeans."

Got your message. Sorry I wasnt able to make it to see ya. It would have been fun. I kinda started a part time job so I was busy getting ready for a "show" I have coming up. Are you coming with Jason when he plays in Statesboro next month? I hope so. I would be good to see ya. Hope all is well. Take care :)
Matt, I just came across the email (I saved it) from the very first DJ gig I got in Nashville, thanks to you! It was the Greg Sims guy, I wonder how they're doing....that was May of 2004! Hope you and the family are doing great.
To all, I pray that everyone has the most wonderful Christmas ever. And may God be with you, your friends and family as we celebrate the most important event in history. The birth of our Saviour and Lord, Jesus Christ.
