I'm Matty G. I've been married to music my entire life. I started djing five or six years ago, and began sequencing beats somewhere around three or four years ago, after playing various instruments since I was 9. I recently released a single on Argon Records www.argonrecords.com, under the genre of dubstep. Discovering reggae in my youth was a pivotal point in my musical development. Dubstep has provided me with the opportunity to create beats that encompass reggae, as well as other musical influences like hip hop, rhythm and blues, and heavy percussion from Africa, Cuba, South America, and Asia. I love bass and drums. These two elements of a song are the most important too me, but I also love a good melody to tie them together.
