BIOGRAPHY:
MAUD HUDSON is a remarkable and versatile singer who is known for her unique renditions of both familiar and obscure songs. She grew up in Los Angeles. Among those she has performed and recorded with are The Band, Norah Jones, Albert Collins, Paul Butterfield, Clifford Scott, Ronnie Hawkins, Hirth Martinez, Dr. John, Cyndi Lauper, Geoff Muldaur, Eric Andersen, Kevin Hearn, The Sadies, Don Crawford, Gavin Friday, and Mary Margaret O'Hara. Rick Danko described Maud as a brilliant singer and she has received praise from Robert Hilburn of the LA Times and Greil Marcus among other notable critics. No Depression Magazine wrote, "Maud sang with such unadorned elegance that it hushed the packed hall." Dave Zuck wrote, "... that beautiful voice that both whispers... around distant rapids... remote waterfalls... in fog, in mist... and rants among thunder and lightning on mountaintops high... healing... emerging... from the whirling snow on the cold roads of solitary car rides... to the warm noise of a barroom full of friends..."

BTW Woodstock?? Anna Cheek is from around there, you probably already know her, but if not, you'd probably feel right at home with some of her material.
Too bad the best place to hear that kind of music around here and maybe the East Coast, the Stanhope House isn't around anymore

You know the people that say utopia isn't possible have already given up. Living sustainably in balance with our environment and food sources will bring us the freedom to live in harmony, and provide the opportunity for all to excel in their efforts, dreams and life path. Utopia is not only possible but it is the very essence that should guide our dreams and vision for ourselves and with each other. It is the horizon we should all strive for everyone and every nation. Anything short of that will lead us astray.
Happy Thanksgiving to you and Garth. We will always have fond memories of our dinner together at 3:00 am in Park City. Colleen and I have now moved out to the country. Let us know if you're ever in our neck of the woods.
