In my new recording project "Rolli's tones" some really incredible musicians like P.Erskine, M.Stern, H.Bullock, B.Shepard, B.Franceschini will be part of the Big Band. I'm touring around Hiram Bullock and Israel Varela with the "X-perience" trio and a new recording will be released soon with "R.A.R.E.",a band featuring Otmaro Ruiz, Alex Acuña and Gianluca Esposito.

He's bass player with R.A.R.E. a new quartet featuring Alex Acuña on percussions, Otmaro Ruiz on the piano and Gianluca Esposito on saxes and was bass player with "X-perience" a trio featuring Hiram Bullock and Israel Varela.
From 2006 he's member of Gianfranco Continenza Band helping the leader to produce and arrange his first album "The past inside the present", 2nd bestseller Album of ESC Records and 1st & 2nd position on the list of the top 100 Cd of jazz guitar album on Tower records USA for more than 3 weeks .
Since September 2000 he's director of the a "Rolli's tones" Big Band, which recorded with Michael Manring and Mike Stern the cd "Moodswings, a tribute to the music of Jaco Pastorius", released in October 2001, the year of the 50th anniversary of Jacos birth.
This cd was reviewed as Cd of the month on "Bass Player" Magazine and on "Jazzit" Magazine.
His composition "Dialoghi" is featured in "Bassics" Magazine cd with M.Manring , Jaco Pastorius, Peter Erskine, Jimmy Haslip, Alain Caron ecc...
He has performed in several international festivals.
He has been member as well as composer and arranger for the 'Is Ensemble', formed by ISMEZ (Istituto per lo Sviluppo Musicale del Mezzogiorno Italian Institute for the development of Southern Italy), through a selection of more than 140 Italian musicians. The ensemble was awarded 8th best band in jazz magazine Top Jazz 1997 referendum.
He has won several music competitions such as: Barga jazz '97 (1° place awarded to his trio with Diana Torto and Filiberto Palermini);Biennale del Mediterraneo ('Iceberg' - Bologna '98 -1° prize, with Alfredo Impullitti's 'Kaos Ensemble'); the Roccella Ionica 'New Talents' '98 competition - in which he was first selected as member of the orchestra conducted by C. Barthelemy (conductor of the Vienna Art Orchestra and the France Jazz Orchestra) and then mentioned as orchestra best soloist (along with Achille Succi and Walter Civettini);
He won 'Baronissi Jazz 2000' (w/Max Ionata quartet). He was awarded 2nd place in 'Massimo Urbani' 2000 competition.
He is a consultant, endorser of "Fbass" and "Mayones" (hand built electric basses) and "MarkBass" (bass amps): he usually represents these firms in Rimini Disma and Frankfurt Muzik Messe music fairs.
He has been assistant in clinics held by great musicians such as J. Patitucci, Anthony Jackson, M. Manring, H. 'el negro' Hernandez, M. Camilo, T. Clausen e S. Pyysalo. He has worked in Federico Fellini's musical 'Le notti di Cabiria' under the direction of Saverio Marconi.
He's bass player in the Rai 1 national tv show "Notti sul ghiaccio","Miss Italia nel mondo", "Usa la testa"and in many other tv show.

Dennis Chambers e Jeff Berlin insieme il prossimo 11 dicembre! Il Centro di Formazione e Produzione Artistica L'Ottava presenta il batterista e il bassista statunitensi, considerati ciascuno enfant prodige del proprio strumento, in una clinic Drum&Bass che si preannuncia ricca di emozioni, sulla base dell'esperienza e della tecnica dei due musicisti. "Per diventare il numero uno o si studia notte e giorno come faccio io o si nasce gia' essendo fenomeni di natura come Dennis Chambers" (Terry Bozzio) “Prima suonavo per essere riconosciuto. Era un atteggiamento giovanile e immaturo. Lo facevo per gli altri. Adesso suono per me stesso e invito gli altri a prenderne parte. “ (Jeff Berlin).
