MySpace a place for friends

It was started someday around 2002 where 3 high-school students named Bill (bass), Efri (drums), and Nio (guitar) formed a simple punk band. As the time goes by, Bill’s brother, Biyan (he plays guitar, too), came and joined the band. Before named “MAUT” the band once called “MOUTH” but Biyan accidentally misspelled it into “MAUT” (it sounds like how you say MOUTH, literally…). And then the band uses the name “MAUT” until now.

At the early times, Maut played songs from Blink-182 and other punk-rock bands. Later, Ngkong came and filled the seat behind the drum kit, while Efri switched into playing guitar, but Nio left the band. This second lineup didn’t last long because Efri left the band for some kind of personal reason, and later replaced by Agung, which made the third formation into Bill playing bass, Biyan and Agung playing guitar, and Ngkong on drums. After 3 years of playing together, the lineup started to change.

By the year 2005, Ngkong and Agung left the band and replaced by Aryo and Dannie. Until now, current band’s killer formation is Bill (bass/vocal), Biyan (guitar/back vocal), Dannie (guitar/back vocal), and Aryo (drums).

It's all about how it’s felt to be rejected. Can't live to our parent's expectation, considered geek by our friends, can’t be the professor’s pet, and it’s hard to be welcomed everywhere. Most of people today can only see things with ‘right’ or wrong’, ‘good’ or ‘bad’, blah blah and so on. They refuse to see the ‘grey’ between ‘black’ and ‘white’. We don’t think that we’re the only one rejected by this society. Many things are still judged to be a ‘threat’ or ‘garbage’ although they are not (by our point of view). It’s not about ‘right or wrong’, its how we’re desperately trying to strife for what we believe. We just sing our rage. Naaaah…anyway we’re just bunch of losers!
