Mostly each other. Bronwyn who write most of the songs used to be a hermit who didnt listen to music. But somehow her brain was infiltrated with musical goodness. Okay, so we used to have this cliche little blurb about who we are and what we do, and how were "catchy and inspiring" or maybe more to the truth we're catching and inspired.. but either way, it just wasn't really us!
So heres the drum (so Aussie right now!)
We are Maverick, 6 kids who love to make music, whether its for you at a show, sitting in the boot of someones car playing the waiting game, or hanging out at band practice playing disco bass lines over every song ever invented. We have a good time no matter where we are or what we're doing, and I think that's the way its going to stay.
Don't ask us who we sound like or what our genre is, we don't know. Thats why we post tracks. To save the time and energy trying to explain.
We're fun. If you want a piece of that, support us! We'd love to see you. If you don't want a piece of that, cause you're too cool wearing girls pants or checking out the latest hardcore band (tho metal is better I hear) cause chick vocals and auxiliary instruments aren't really your thing, then thats fine too.
Be warned however, we've converted the tastes of those from many a different genre and I've heard we're catching ;)

Hey Maverick, You may or may not know that Brad (the guitar guy with spikey hair) has decided to leave our band and pursue other directions. We are now very keen to find a replacement for our band. We are looking at taking on 2-3 new members to accomodate our evolving sound. Immediately however, we are looking for a gutairist to help us with our upincoming schedule. If you know of anyone who plays guitar (priority) or keyboard and would like to play in an established band (in Brisbane) could you please let them / us know so we can organise an audition.
