When I'm not working I like walking, gardening, writing poetry and short stories, amateur dramatics and spending far too much time online.
Movies
My favourite films (in no particular order) are:
Cinema Paradiso
Moulin Rouge
Leon
Monty Python's Life of Brian
Blade Runner
El Mariachi
Strictly Ballroom
Television
To be honest, I don't watch TV very often.
Books
Books that I can always read again:
Paul Scott's 'Raj Quartet'
Alan Hollinghurst 'The Folding Star'
Haruki Murakami 'The Wind-up Bird Chronicle'
John Irving 'The Hotel New Hampshire'
About me: I'm a cinema projectionist. Every time I tell people that their first comment is usually, 'I bet you get to see all the films,' and the second, 'But I thought it was all on DVD these days.'
Well, it isn't on DVD and never will be. Digital projectors are currently being installed alongside the traditional 35mm film projectors, but my educated guess is that film will be around for a good few years yet.
I don't watch all the films, because I don't get the time. I work in an eight screen multiplex and most of the time I am on my own, so I am constantly monitoring the shows in all the different screens, making up new films and breaking down old ones, changing trailers and checking adverts.
I also enjoy writing and have recently published a fantasy novel, 'A Rider Through Shadow'.
Who I'd like to meet: People from all over the galaxy

Saw your Diaryland entry about the time we made the mouldy sloe wine and Ginger beer nail polish remover,lol...were we supposed to have been at school that day? Or was that the day we made nettle soup and the elderberry pickle that made my sister feel sick?
