Massimo Discepoli e' un batterista e insegnante di batteria, che svolge la sua attivita' principalmente nella provincia di Perugia. Nato ad Assisi (PG), studia con Dave Weckl, Terry Bozzio, Alex Acuna, Kim Plainfield, Ron Savage, Pat Petrillo, Horacio "El Negro" Hernandez, Lonnie Smith, Michel Camilo, Bruno Erminero, Mercurio Marco, Francesco Boccacci, Marco Pellegrini.
Come batterista partecipa a progetti di ogni tipo, sia in eventi dal vivo che in sedute di registrazione, spaziando in tutti i generi dal jazz al rock.
Nel 2005 forma con Jacopo Bazzarri (vibrafono) e Francesco Fabbri (organo Hammond) il trio Vibrham, con il quale nel 2006 realizza il disco omonimo, distribuito internazionalmente e contenente anche brani di sua composizione.
Suona con il trio Di Pace-Katchmarek-Discepoli, che si classifica secondo all' edizione 2007 del "Concorso Musicale Citta' di Assisi". A partire dal 2005 alla batteria affian ca lo studio del pianoforte, e da allora inizia a comporre la propria musica.
Nel 2007 da' vita al progetto Nheap, di cui e' l'unico membro. Sotto questo pseudonimo, compone e suona la propria musica, facendovi confluire tutte le sue influenze musicali, dal jazz all'elettronica, dal rock alla musica d'avanguardia e sperimentale.
Il primo disco completo , Realight, esce nel Settembre 2008 in collaborazione con la label Musicaoltranza. Alcuni brani singoli sono presenti anche in varie compilation uscite per la stessa etichetta. Nel 2009 esce il secondo album, Skymotion, per la label Acustronica. Entrambi gli album sono recensiti positivamente dalla critica sia italiana che internazionale, e il brano Hldrrr e' scelto come "brano del giorno" dal prestigioso magazine di jazz Allaboutjazz.
Nel 2009 forma il duo Nunun con Cesare Discepoli (chitarra, synth), il cui primo album, basato su improvvisazioni acustiche ed elettroniche, e' di prossima uscita su Acustronica. Al duo si aggiunge Giorgio Pinai (fiati), facendo cosi nascere il trio L.E.D. , al quale e' stato recemente commissionato di realizzare una colonna sonora in tempo reale a dei classici del film muto, fra cui i capolavori diretti da Luis Bunuel.
Oltre all'attivita' musicale vera e propria, insegna batteria in varie scuole di musica e anche privatamente.
