Massimo Discepoli, nato ad Assisi (PG), inizia a suonare la batteria
a 12 anni, studia e partecipa a seminari con musicisti come Dave Weckl,
Terry Bozzio, Alex Acuna, Kim Plainfield, Ron Savage, Pat Petrillo, Horacio “El Negro”
Hernandez, Lonnie Smith, Michel Camilo, Bruno Erminero, Mercurio Marco,
Francesco Boccacci, Marco Pellegrini...dedicandosi anche allo studio di
percussioni afro-cubane e indiane. Frequenta i corsi della Berklee School
of Boston durante Umbria Jazz, ricevendo i complimenti di Giovanni Tommaso e
Marco Volpe.
Partecipa a progetti di ogni tipo, sia in eventi dal vivo che in sedute
di registrazione, spaziando in tutti i generi dal jazz al rock. Insegna in varie
scuole di musica, sia pubbliche che private.
Nel 2005 forma con Jacopo Bazzarri (vibrafono) e Francesco Fabbri (organo
Hammond) il trio Vibrham, con il quale nel 2006 realizza il disco omonimo,
contenente anche brani di sua composizione.
Suona con il trio Di Pace-Katchmarek-Discepoli, che si classifica secondo all' edizione 2007 del "Concorso Musicale Città di Assisi"
Attualmente sta producendo musica elettronica e sperimentale sotto lo pseudonimo Nheap
Frequenta il corso di laurea in Scienze dei Beni Musicali presso l’Università di
Perugia.
