I guess it's time to update the band info, now that I am living in Spokane and have a new band, I should give them some credit.
Mark Manley is the new drummer and we are still trying to get him to bring out his Neil Pert lookalike drum set! And YES, he Can play them.
Gary Shastany is on the bass and also sings just like Greg Allman. Gary is also our choreographer! What is it about these Bass Players anyway!!!
The band has put together really nice mix of Allman Brothers, Zepplin, Robbin Ford, Johnny Lang, Clapton and other blues, rock and alt-country music and will be performing at the Davenport Peacock Room on a regular schedule. So come check it out...
(previously written)
I play with so damned many people I can't even count them, much less name them, but I'll try...
On "Turn My Blues to Gray", I was with "The Dangerous Shoes", Ricky Lockhart (Big Nick & The Gila Monsters) on drums, Rocky Heyer on bass, Ric Campbell on lead guitar & Rumpelman's.
On "Too", Bill Babin on drums, Adam Redstone on lead guitar, I think Shawn Swain (Stereo Blitz) was on bass that night, and, of course, ME on mandolin.
Influences
Trig Ward, Texas bluesman and honky-tonk singer extraordinaire, who taught me to play guitar in Greenville, Texas, just a tadbit east of Dallas.
Come see acoustic Texas Blues...it's good for the soul! From influences of Grand Funk Railroad to George Jones comes acoustic music from the heart.
Obscure songs of Steppenwolf, ZZ Top, Eric Clapton, Led Zeppelin, Janis Joplin, Elton John, Jimi Hendrix, Charlie Daniels, Jim Croce, The Beatles, The Allman Brothers, The Who, The Rolling Stones, Bonnie Raitt, John Prine, Bugs Henderson...Most of which you have never heard before.
Listening to your music is the most fun I have had with my pants on in quite sometime. Your not from greenvlle are ya? Hope you are doing well & always remember. A little harmonica goes a looong way...Kev
Thanks for adding me, Gary Shastany is an OLD friend of mine from Santa Cruz, CA...Will somebody help him get a profile pic up? Is that him singing on "Jesus put these Chains on me"?
Good to get to hear you play again Maxie! Even though it's on the computer, it brings back happy memories of watching you perform in Arizona. I do like the new song and your new band sounds great. Wishing you the best always, Marcie
