Rarely, a musician comes along who destroys the boundaries of his craft, while preserving the style and soulful architecture that the pioneers used to construct it.

MAX KANE is a DJ and Producer who's talents combine the skill & imagination to push and develop his soulful signature sound through the horizons of funk and beyond. Max Kane represents a hard-working DJ who embodies the analog imagination and futuristic-funk landscape that will no doubt change the game.

By the time he was working to master his role behind the turntables, MAX KANE was also busy co-founding and establishing the legendary 4ONEFUNK crew in a competitive and evolving Bay Area turntablist arena. After gaining battle recognition in the 2003 ITF World Teams and 2004 ITF USA solo competitions, MAX KANE remained dedicated to bring his sound out of San Francisco and to the forefront of the world.

MAX KANE has competed, showcased, and rocked parties and clubs for crowds throughout the country in Germany, Puerto Rico, New Zealand, Italy, New York, Philly, L.A., and most recently displayed his innovation alongside the world's first Controller One turntable group, the 4ONEFUNK BAND at the Monterey Jazz Festival.

Accompanied by the addition of the Controller One turntable to his vintage analog synth arsenal, and elusive sample selection, MAX KANE constructs beats aimed towards re-shaping how the world defines Hip Hop music. The Controller One is the world's first turntable designed and engineered to be used as a musical instrument. Not only has Max dedicated his time pushing to advance the literacy of this revolutionary instrument, he is also one of the founding members of the world's first Controller One group.

MAX KANE's solo-production is highlighted by his group F.A.M.E. (FRESH ANALOG MUSIC EXPERIENCE), who create an authentic balance between live drum machine breakbeats, soulful scratch stabs and a variety of analog effects processors and keyboards. What sets F.A.M.E.'s sound apart is each members unconventional style and they way they soulfully blend together experimental sounds and rhythms into a gumbo of Futuristic Slap music. The intention of the F.A.M.E. is to hit the listener harder with the warmth and musicality of vinyl combined with analog instrumentation. They are taking what their funky forefathers did to the next destination, two ears at a time. F.A.M.E. is currently at work on their solo album entitled "Come With Us", which is slated for an early 2010 release.

Aside from numerous Mix-CD releases, guest appearances and production features, MAX KANE and the 4ONEFUNK crew play host to the notorious 4ONEFUNKTION party every last Saturday of the month at Elbo Room S.F. MAX KANE is hard at work on his solo album entitled "Sky High" that is also scheduled for a 2010 release.
