Max Masi, bass player and double-bass player, was born on 27/02/1964 in Imola (BO), Italy.
Inspired at first by a passion for afroamerican musical traditions, Max initially taught himself to play the electric bass guitar, then studied under the grand maestro Dino D'Autorio while attending a course in Harmony with the pianist-arranger Pippo Guarnera.
He then began playing the double-bass under the guidance of maestro Paolo Ghetti.
Max Masi has performed all over Italy and Europe playing various genres such as blues, swing, soul, funk, pop, rock. He has also gained experience in New York.
