In 1971 Mäx Nink was introduced to his first spotlight called life. At the age of 8, he could already play (with the help of his mother’s carpet beater) Rory Gallagher songs, which inspired him to start writing his own melodys on guitar. Here starts his compassion for using stringed instruments to vent put his feelings.

At the age of 16 Mäx played bass for the band Radiation Romeo where Bruce Springsteen and Bon Jovi the main influences were.

With an already impressing collection of experience, Mäx now just 18 years of age, founded his first band Dirty Jokes which played crossover somewhere between Faith No More and King’s X. Here,next to the bass, was the first time he took over the lead vocals. The band won many amature contests and recorded two demotapes. In 1993 Dirty Jokes breaks up and Mäx tumbles in the next four years in many Bands with very different styles-from Progressive Rock over Punk to Covers.

Dissatisfied and unable to still his hunger to rock, he decides to start a new band by the name of Sludge. Musically dedicated to the sounds of Kyuss/Blach Sabbath/Motorpsycho, the desertrocktrio wrote very heavy and edgy songs which included a 20 minute epos. Mäx sings, plays bass and for the first time plays guitar on stage. The band recorded 2 cd’s and played a triumphant opening show in England for Wishbone Ash.

During the same time period, Mäx founded and sang in the band The Asstones who played Rose Tattoo and Stooges covers mixed up with tier own songs in the same style. Here is where he discovered his love for Punk’n Roll.

He ended both bands in 2001 and founded The Bordells who are to this day still active. The Bordells play high energy Rock ‘n Roll whose sound could be compared to that of Rose Tattoo, AC/DC, Stones and Motorhead. To this day The Bordells have recorded 3 cds, played a numerous amount of shows with bands like The Bones, Gluecifer, Cellopane Suckers and Psychopunch to name a few and have toured Germany to an respectable extent. During the first few years of the band Mäx wrote the songs and sang. Since one of their guitarists called it quits, Mäx has also taken over the second guitar.

In 2005 Mäx starts playing concerts with a side projekt which is named after its founder: Mäx Nink and Friends. He doesn’t want to have the sound defined.He plays songs from his old bands always in a new version and writes his own edgy blues, funk and rock songs in Singer/Songwriter manner - some songs electric, some acoustic.

In 2007 Mäx moves to Berlin where he plays solo in the clubs and dives his Hessinia Desert Blues and the rest are brought to their knees by the powerful Punk n’ Roll sound of The Bordells!

1971 betritt Mäx Nink die Bühne des Lebens - mit 8 Jahren kann er bereits alle Rory-Gallagher-Lieder auf Mamas Teppichklopfer spielen und schreibt die ersten eigenen Melodien auf der Gitarre. Fortan benutzt er Saiteninstrumente als Ausdrucksmittel seiner Gefühle.

Mit 16 Jahren spielt er Bass bei Radiation Romeo, einer lokalen Band im Stile Bruce Springsteen/Bon Jovi.

Mit 18 gründet er Dirty Jokes, eine Crossoverband im Stile Faith No More/Kings X. Hier singt er zum ersten Mal neben dem Bass-Spielen auch die Leadvocals. Die Band gewinnt mehrere Nachwuchswettbewerbe und nimmt 2 Studio-Demo..s auf, 1993 bricht die Band auseinander und Mäx singt und spielt in den nächsten Jahren in mehreren Bands mal Progressive-Rock, mal Punk, mal Cover.

Musikalisch unbefriedigt gründet er 1997 endlich wieder eine eigene Band: "Sludge", ein Desert-Rock-Trio im Stile Kyuss/Black Sabbath/Motorpsycho, tiefdröhnend, erdig, mit Stücken bis an die 20-Minuten-Marke. Mäx singt, spielt Bass und zum ersten Mal auf der Bühne auch Gitarre. Die Band nimmt bis zur Auflösung 2001 zwei CDs auf und schafft es bis nach England ins Vorprogramm von Wishbone Ash.

Gleichzeitig verleiht er mit Gründung und Singen in der Band The Asstones (Rose Tattoo & Stooges Coversongs und eigene Stücke in diesem Stil) der Liebe zum Punk..n..Roll Platz.

Beide Bands löst er 2001 auf und gründet seine bis heute große Liebe THE BORDELLS (High-Energy-Rock im Stile AC/DC, Rose Tattoo, Stones, Gluecifer, Motorhead) mit denen er bis jetzt drei CDs und unzählige Auftritte mit Bands wie Bones, Gluecifer, Cellophane Suckers, Psychopunch uvm. quer durch Deutschland spielte. Mäx schreibt am Anfang nur die Songs und singt, spielt aber seit Ausstieg eines Gitarristen seit 2006 auch Gitarre.

Parallel beginnt er 2005 Konzerte unter eigenem Namen zu geben: "Mäx Nink & Friends". Stilistisch will er sich dabei nicht mehr binden lassen, spielt Songs seiner alten Bands immer neu interpretiert, schreibt eigene Stücke zwischen Singer/Songwriter-Stil, kantigem Blues, Funk, Rock - mal elektrisch, mal akkustisch.

"Die Musik ist sein Leben und die Bühne seine Welt" oder "Mäx Nink bringt die Musik der Strasse auf die Bühne zurück und Dank seiner spontanen Back-Up-Band ist jedes Konzert 100% live & einmalig" waren die ersten Pressereaktionen.

2007 zieht Mäx Nink nach Berlin und spielt hier solo weiterhin seinen Hessinia Desert Blues, sowie in seiner Band THE BORDELLS!
