An exciting & intense performer who links theatre, hip-hop, spoken word and comedy. A writer, performer, musician and workshop leader, Maxwell’s music has been supported by BBC Radio 1 and 1Xtra. As well as many theatrical credits, he has performed alongside influential artists including Afrika Bambaataa, Grooverider, Norman Jay, Benji Reid, Killa Kela, Jonzi D, Will Power, Soweto Kinch, Bashy and Horace Andy. Maxwell currently holds the title ‘BirmingSlam Champion’ of performance poetry and has had compositions signed to Bassbin Records.

I finally finished up a project I have been working on closely with my homie DJ Trippin' over the past few months. The idea was to take a handful of my freestyles, studio tracks, and b-sides I've recorded over the last year and combine them all to a 1 track mix. All mixing, scratching, and juggling was performed by DJ Trippin'. The effort is available for high quality download by clicking the cover below!

The show brings the worlds of Grime/Dubstep/Hip-Hop, Spoken Word, Body- popping, Mask and Puppetry together in a bold, dynamic and invigorating way. The play explores the themes of cultural identity, divided loyalties, racial tension and a sense of belonging in a multi-cultural Britain. The show is for a young adult audience.
20 Stories High is Liverpool’s dynamic new theatre company for young people. Babul and the Blue Bear is a co-production with Contact Theatre and is touring to small scale venues in the North West and nationally. It has been commissioned by the Liverpool Culture Company.
