mAX YASGUR'S FARM has been performing in Northern Nevada since 2004
The Band is a Rock & Roll Retrospective Romp, a Far-Out, Festive Filled, Flower-Powered, Fling through the Summer of Love of the '60's
"Yasgur's Farm", which takes it's name from the farmer who leased his property to the Woodstock Festival promoters in 1969 has been gaining a reputation for its complex vocal harmonies, driving guitar work and faithful renditions of the music of the period.
The group's high energy shows feature songs that are rairly attempted by other bands. CSN's "Suite Judy Blue Eyes"; Doby Grey's "Drift Away"; Eagles "Seven Bridges Road" and "Peaceful Easy Feeling" have become the mainstay of the powerful hits the "farm" drives home. They also cover America, Dylan, Mama's & Papa's and The Beatles among others.
See them performing In Northern Nevada and California at the Great Basin Brewing Co.; Sparks Nugget Rib Cookoff; Tahoe Valley Campground, Nevada's Casinos and various festival events.
They can also be seen on Reno's Charter Channel 16 from time to time.
PJANET - Janet Patterson, I would love to reply and add you, but your profile settings don't allow a band to add you or respond to your message. Add us and then we can communicate. I'll tell Bene'. Did you see Larry in the photos too?

The Bathtub Test
During a visit to the mental asylum, a visitor asked the Director how do you determine whether or not a patient should be institutionalized.
"Well," said the Director, "we fill up a bathtub, then we offer a teaspoon, a teacup and a bucket to the patient and ask him or her to empty the bathtub."
"Oh, I understand," said the visitor. "A normal person would use the bucket because it's bigger than the spoon or the teacup."
"No" said the Director, "A normal person would pull the plug. Do you want a bed near the window?"
ARE YOU GOING TO PASS THIS ON, OR DO YOU WANT THE BED NEXT TO MINE ?

Over the crib of God,
White seeds are floating
Out of my burst pod.
What power had I
Before I learned to yield?
Shatter me, great wind:
I shall possess the field.
Your presence is a present to the world. You’re unique and one of a kind. Your life can be what you want it to be. Take the days just one at a time. Count your blessings, not your troubles. You’ll make it through whatever comes along. Within you are so many answers. Understand, have courage, be strong. Don’t put limits on yourself. So many dreams are waiting to be realized. Decisions are too important to leave to chance. Reach for your peak, your goal, and your prize. Nothing wastes more energy than worrying. The longer one carries a problem, the heavier it gets. Don’t take things to seriously. Live a life of serenity, not a life of regrets. Remember that a little love goes a long way. Remember that a lot..... goes forever. Remember that friendship is a wise investment. Life’s treasures are people.... together. Realize that it’s never too late. Do ordinary things in an extraordinary way. Have health and hope and happiness. Take the time to wish upon a star.
Believe that I am a person who really does care about you, tho we have never met.
This is what music is all about! As Guns 'n Roses guitar player Slash famously quipped: "Whenever society gets too stifling and the rules get too complex, there's some sort of musical explosion. "
This is Joanne Hague from the Woodstock - Preservation Archives. I was hoping that there is someone out here who could help.
We’ve been approached by the publishers of Goldmine Record Album Price Guide (Krause), to author a retrospective of Woodstock at 40. We are trying to amass a daunting 500-700 rarely, if never before seen, photos of Woodstock and the Bethel/White Lake area at that time, to commemorate the 40th anniversary coming up next year..
Our vision of this book is to use photos from festival-goers, crew, townspeople and such and present this book from their perspectives, which will make it different from any others. Included in the book will be memories from people who were there - at the concert and in the area. Also, pictures of memorabilia from the festival, posters, tickets, stuff from Yasgur's farm, etc., provided we can locate these buried treasures.
I was wondering if anyone out here might possibly have photos from that time, or know someone who might, and be willing to lend them to this project. Any help is greatly appreciated and we’re following all leads.
