I have a passion for... all of the arts especially sculpture and dance.
I adore... things that fly, furry four-legged folk, friends with fins, the desert, the mountains, waterlilies.
I enjoy...
bringing faeries to life, sipping chai tea, eating berries from the vine, walks through the forest, writing from the heart, feng shui, reading books on art, archaeology, philosophy, other cultures...
I Love... You
The Meaning of Love
Both light and shadow
are the dance of Love. Love has no cause;
it is the astrolabe of God’s secrets. Lover and Loving are inseparable and timeless.
Although I may try to describe Love when I experience it I am speechless. Although I may try to write about Love I am rendered helpless; my pen breaks and the paper slips away at the ineffable place where Lover, Loving and Loved are one.
Every moment is made glorious by the light of Love.
~ Jalalud'din Rumi
The Beauty of the Heart
The beauty of the heart is the lasting beauty: its lips give to drink of the water of life. Truly it is the water, that which pours, and the one who drinks. All three become one when your talisman is shattered. That oneness you can't know by reasoning.

My brother Stuart for just being himself. And though I spent little time with them, my Aunt Sandy and Grandpa Sees, who left their beautiful indelible impressions upon me as a child, for which I remain forever grateful.
I admire survivors, and those that dare to to be different, and anyone who, regardless of great hardships endured, holds steadfastly onto their dreams.

"Come with me and experience the mystique of a most exotic landscape. Explore the palace
of dreams, languish a moment in the heart's garden or sail down the river of imagination. Along
the way we will encounter such fabulous creatures as art, ritual, ecstasy and transformation.
It is a wondrous journey, both far and wide, or as near as the mind's own eye."

all the while watching over you."

" I said to my soul, be still, and wait without hope
For hope would be hope for the wrong thing; wait without love,
For love would be love of the wrong thing; there is yet faith
But the faith and the love and the hope are all in the waiting.
Wait without thought, for you are not ready for thought:
So the darkness shall be the light, and the stillness the dancing."
~ T. S. Eliot

"When we look into the heart of a flower, we see clouds, sunshine, minerals, time, the earth, and everything else in the cosmos in it. Without clouds, there could be no rain, and there would be no flower. Without time, the flower could not bloom. In fact, the flower is made entirely of non-flower elements; it has not independent, individual existence...One thing is made up of all other things. One thing contains the whole cosmos...A piece of bread contains sunshine...Without a cloud, the wheat cannot grow. So when you eat the piece of bread, you eat the cloud, you eat the sunshine, you eat the minerals, time, space, everything."
It is powerful medicine to feel and cry for each other. I've been blessed to have numerous experiences of tears for others these past few months. - It is deep, profound healing to love like this. It's been hard but the beauty of it is, healing flows both ways. To keep from loving because of something that might happen in the future is crazy. Just like holding back your affection because of something that happened in the past is a profound waste. There are no real threats or loss in true love.
Innocence is not pure so much as pleased, Always expectant, bright-eyed, self-enclosed. - May Sarton
Have a great week and great success and joy in all you do! Much love to you! Hug You!! Monika -
Love anything and your heart will be wrung and possibly broken. If you want to make sure of keeping it intact you must give it to no one, not even an animal. Wrap it carefully with hobbies and little luxuries; avoid all entanglements. Lock it up safe in the casket or coffin of your selfishness. But in that casket - safe, dark, motionless, airless - it will change. It will not be broken; it will become unbreakable, impenetrable, irredeemable. To love is to be vulnerable. - C.S. Lewis
Yes, that video is really nice, I have seen it of course - Mr Badalamenti is a cool cat... It's good to have it on "my" page now so that others can enjoy it too =)
Glad you liked the Five Sheaths basslines video, it was really done from, and for love... There will be other ones coming very soon, with the whole band, and me at the piano instead, if everything goes according to plan...

The greatest gift of the garden is the restoration of the five senses. - Hanna Rion

It is good to be alone in a garden at dawn or dark so that all its shy presences may haunt you and possess you in a reverie of suspended thought. - James Douglas
Just a note to say hello and wish you a nice weekend with lots of imagination and creativity!

Near a shady wall a rose once grew, Budded and blossomed in God's free light, Watered and fed by morning dew, Shedding it's sweetness by day and by night.
As it grew and blossomed, fair and tall, Slowly rising to loftier height, It came to a crevice in the wall, Through which there shone a beam of light.
Onward it crept with added strength, With never a thought of fear of pride, It followed the light through the crevice length, And unfolded itself on the other side.
The light, the dew, the broadening view Were found the same as they were before, And it lost itself in beauties new, Breathing it's fragrance more and more. Shall claim of death cause us to grieve And make our courage faint and fall? Nay, let us faith and hope receive; The rose still grows beyond the wall.
Scattering fragrance far and wide Just as it did in days of yore, Just as it did on the other side, Just as it will, forever more.
Namaste :) I have been reading up on "selflessness" lately.. .. “Wisdom ceases to be wisdom when it becomes too proud to weep, too grave to laugh, and too selfish to seek other than itself.” - Khalil Gibran .. "Your mind’s selfishness is your all-exclusive individuality. Your heart’s selflessnes is your all-inclusive universality." - Sri Chinmoy
Being with mom these last two weeks as she recovered from surgery has been a neat time in my mother's very infamous back yard and patio - with listening to the wonderful childhood memories of gardens she had when she was a young girl, it seems mother also had quite the fascination with the dragonflies that danced with their multiple colored florescent wings over the showy flowers and darting here and there didn't stop her from trying to capture them, if only for a little while in her small jar. Lady bugs was also a topic we enjoyed after one landed on me, and of course we both chimed at the same time, how lucky I am that one landed on me! Indeed - I am more than lucky - quite blessed to have one on one with mom and what a nice time it was and always is.
Wishing you a wonderful weekend, dear Maya! Thank you for your kindnesses and friendship! Hug You!! Monika -
Ever wondered what to do in the event of a nuclear threat?
A while ago I found stuff that inspired me to make this film:
Living Under the Shadow of the Nuclear Umbrella
Both artistic (ensure you get the background music!) and educational, it primarily comprises official British government civil defence advice.
Though source materials are quite aged, much remains relevant today.

That sounds wonderful... It is something I really want, to be able to have my own herbs, a beautiful garden many things, in rhe right place, and in the right company... One day soon I hope =)
I'm busy here now, and have written a lot of music lately, I hope I can share it soon...
