PROJECT MAYHEM’S BAND PROFILE
In existence for close to 2 years, PROJECT MAYHEM has always been influencing underground music scene with their hard rock prowess and fussive approach to music. Their sound has developed from the old school rock music fussed with the new age perspective far from the traditional and stereotypical style. Evolving in defiance to the present popular musical gravity, they are the mirror which reflects the progression of rock music from the 70’s to rock music of the present creating their own brand of music. The band, composed entirely of medical doctors, has tackled major trials more particularly demands from their profession but this never stopped them from writing and playing of their heart’s desire.
Now with new material, Project Mayhem is ready to take the scene to even newer heights. Entitled "Doctors on Call". This album contains the band's most intimate and personal experiences. Ten tracks containing coherent concepts with an aggressive groove but positive message. Bursting emotions from both in its sound and words which stick to the listener’s ear sort a last song syndrome.
Band line-up: Dr. Enrique Delarosa ("the cat"), a radiologist on lead guitars. He is considered the chief musical arranger of the band. With his cool, calm, and collected persona on stage, the fire and spirit he possesses in his fingers creating harmonic balance, Dr Hermie Saludes, a cardiologist on bass. He brings his no-nonsense attitude in his medical practice to the band’s identity. Dr Mike Lao (aka “mayhem “,“the eye surgeon”) is no doubt, the band’s front man and lead songwriter. His performances always leave the audience speechless and wanting more. Dr Eli Florendo, an ENT specialist on drums, literally rocking the house all night thru.
Recently, the band’s performance in MYX BANDARITO , and recent Radio station guestings (NU107’s voted IN THE RAW people choice ) has created chaos among fans and music enthusiast from all throughout the country like Cavite, Cebu, Bacolod, Davao, General Santos to even Zamboanga demanding for more.
Taking four diverse individuals and combining their musical talents to create a band that writes and plays sublimely harmonic and audibly gratifying music. Project mayhem in a way, heals the world not only thru their profession but also with the same inspiration that can be derived from their music. How do you classify your music? we basically classify their music as fussion rock. Music trivia we have close to 30 songs presently on the process of recording basically anything rockable to your hearing pleasure
