Movies
Prefer live theater but a few movies I enjoyed are So, I Married an Axe Murderer, Paris, Texas (mostly for Ry's soundtrack), My Life As A House and Casablanca
Television
Rarely watch it, if I do it's PBS, news or sports with my son. UPDATE: We have cable now, an entirely different world has opened for me. NOW there are shows I enjoy: I love the Food Network and On Demand Concert TV and VH1 Classics. What did I do before this? Oh that's right, I read or slept.

Clubs: I learned that a toddler's job in life is to rule the universe!
About me: I have a deep passion for music. Good music definately feeds my soul! Whenever a musician moves me to goosebumps or tears or squeals of amazement, I know he/she will be part of my life forever. I'll buy their CD(s) and try to see them live if possible.
I love my two children (Christina is in college and Dylan is in high school). I feel very honored to be their Mommy.
I started a new business and I'm loving every minute of it!
I don't have a perfect life and I haven't always done things the right way, but I'm learning from those paths I took that seemed right at the time. I believe counting my blessings and taking stock in all the good around me is a key to peace, as is not comparing myself to others. The writing/poem, "Desiderata", written by Max Ehrmann in 1927 is as applicable today as it was then.
Who I'd like to meet: People who are intense and real. Laughing out loud is music to my ears. Crying, ranting, whispering...all good. Honesty and integrity are HIGH on my list. Creativity is also very high on my list!
I want to meet people I can learn from, I want to learn...about music, books, theater. I love connecting people together and connecting good music with people who appreciate it.
Here's a promo DVD of Paul Mayasich on guitar. He wrote that song "Texas Toast." He is amazing, try to see him sometime, you won't be disappointed.

Hi Nancy! Thankyou so much for checking out my music and adding me to your friends! It means alot to me especially anyone in MN! I'm putting together my band for the live show and hope you can come out and see it in a few months! Wishing you all the BEST!
Thanks for being a new MySpace friend.
It's been a juggernaut, but "IF THE RAINS DON'T CLEANSE" (my novel about my parents' experiences as schoolteachers in 1950s Africa) is finally available on Amazon.com. In fact, it's selling so well it's been marked "out of stock" for several days -- thank God they're still shipping it.
It's getting strong reviews and a grown-up readership -- I'm thrilled.
I invite you to visit my MySpace blog to read an excerpt.
