The Maypole band are a group of acoustic musicians who have been providing music for barn dances for years & years, some of the members have been performing at these event since the 1960's.
If you are stuck for ideas to provide enjoyable but alternative entertainment for an event then contact the Maypole band.
The group, whilst acoustic, does provide good quality amplification & they have their own dance 'caller' who will select dances suitable for the skill level of the dancers & will, as the evening unfolds, teach more complex dances.
The dances can be suitable for younger dancers also, so age is no limit really. Many of the dances are 'mixers' where you will be changing partners & finally end up back with your original partner, so it's all about variety & fun!
