Hey Maz thanks for accepting the friend request.. i can really appreciate the photo-op for your tour, with you trying to break through the tsa checkpoint.. since 9-11 i've had some interesting run-ins... i was about 16-17 in '03 & i was traveling to washington dc from the atlanta airport & as I was about to board the plane they asked me for my i.d., keep in mind i was the only one they did this for.. probably because they weren't sure if i was italian or just a really white looking middle easterner.. so i give them my i.d. then theyre probably like hmmm mahjoubi... mahjoubi.. thats got terrorist all over it... they took me off to the side, re-metal detected me, made me empty my pockets again, then told me to take my shoes and socks off... after that they gave me the green light to get on board. Then last year I was making the move from NC to Dallas, TX. Didnt see the harm in taking some electronic bedroom slippers (they massage your feet) that my mom had got me one christmas... anyways i put my bag on the belt to be x-rayed and all they see are a pair of shoes with circuits and a batteries concealed in them... they called a few more arched eye-browed tsa guys and made me take my shoes apart. Now every time i travel i go through the metal detectors with my hands in the air in the frisk-ready position. Gotta be able to have a good time if theyre going to make an example of me.
