MCants humble themselves in the presence of God and allow themselves to be used by the Holy Spirit as yeilding vessels. This is the greatest influence on them.

MYM consist of five dedicated men of God who have been singing in the tri-state area of Delaware, Pennsylvania and New Jersey since 1991. The group was formed from a 75 voice family choir ( MCcants Relation Singers of Wilmington, DE. ) that has been ministering since 1963. The Lord called them out to sing their own expression of gospel music, which has a strong contemporary edge, but yet remains true to traditional roots. In the beginning, the members of the group were involved in various areas and genres that allowed them to create and develop in broad aspects of music. One of those groups in the early 80's was Profexion. Many of the members of profexion evolved into the the phenomenon known as the "House of Wizdom"-- A family of about 8 members in the purest forms of Hip Hop, R & B, Rap and Gouse (Gospel House.) The group was ready to release their first album under the House of Wizdom, until the only true and wise God touched them in a personal way and led them in a different direction. Ever since that time, they have used their individual talents and gifts to spread the good news of Jesus Christ to all. Over the years, MYM has stood for many things. It first stood for the MCcants Young Men because of the relationship that exists through the MCcants Family in a whole; however, now that they have been born again through Christ, they can be called the Messsiah's Young Men or MYM. God has annointed the name to represent everything in the past, present and future. The Lord predestined MYM to have many examples in front of them to help them along the way. In 1997, MYM released their first album, "Fearfully and Wonderfully Made." The Album acheived very good success as a self produced project. Currently they are working on a second project and plan to release it in 2007. This project will unviel a tranformation the entire group has endured over the years. With this change MYM will simply be called MCcants.
With God, it's not always what you do, but what you are willing to do.

9And they came to the place which God had told him of; and Abraham built an altar there, and laid the wood in order, and bound Isaac his son, and laid him on the altar upon the wood.
10And Abraham stretched forth his hand, and took the knife to slay his son.
11And the angel of the LORD called unto him out of heaven, and said, Abraham, Abraham: and he said, Here am I.
12And he said, Lay not thine hand upon the lad, neither do thou any thing unto him: for now I know that thou fearest God, seeing thou hast not withheld thy son, thine only son from me.
