This hard rock boot camp is whipping young musicians into shape and showing them what it's like to be in a real rock band. In a world where musical education is limited to classical technique and theory, MCC's Extreme Rock is a place for those inspired by Metallica rather than Mozart.
This 3 week after school program is all about the fun of rock n' roll, rocking out with a real band, learning the ropes of the music industry and the in's and out's of putting on a live rock show. With a little help from some professional musicians we group bands together based on pure rockability. Rehearsals are intense and hands on sessions are dedicated as much to hard work as they are hard play.
We finish the program off with a live rock show featuring all the bands, and if that's not enough? We cut a professionaly produced demo at the MCC Recording Studio with the hardest rocking band.
