Thanks for droppin in first and foremost. What I do I do because I love it, it's my passion. An emcee isn't the only reason the crowds rock up. An emcee isn't the only one taking centre stage. An emcee knows what to do, what to say, how to say it and most importantly, how to deliver it. If it wasn't for the crowds that rock up on a weekly basis, none of us including DJ's and the people behind the scenes would be given the opportunity to do what we love.

Music is an expression, music is an art. For many people this rings true, but never more so than for the lyricist MC D. Cutting across genre’s whether it be R&B, Hip Hop, HardTrance, Hardstyle, Happy Hardcore, Breaks, House, D prides himself on the fact that no matter what the style of music is, he’s able to step up and command the microphone like no other. One look at D on stage, it’s obvious that it’s more than just emceeing, it’s a release. What sets D apart from any other emcee is his ethic, “all I want to do is just jump up there and treat the crowd to something special.” D does that and more as many will attest to, here and abroad.

Growing up in a predominantly R&B/Soul household, his teen years marked the start of his love affair with electronic dance music through the form of happy hardcore. Starting out when he was 13 rhyming over old happy hardcore mixtapes, it wasn't until he was 18 that emceeing became a reality.Confessing his influences to be Stanton Warriors, Aphrodite, Freq Nasty, Armin Van Buuren, Ferry Corsten, Cosmic Gate, Dumonde, Nick Warren, Darren Styles, Re-con, MC Storm, MC Whizzkid, it’s easy to see that D has a love for various styles of music, something he considers his strength. Locally his influences are Mike Hyper, Nud-e (Madam Events), Sok, Normz, Shorty, Sefu, C-bu, Shruggz, Tom Piper, Suae, Pulsar, Weaver, Arbee, Nitrouz, SDee, Likquid, MC's Destiny, Obi, Phili and also DJ Gadg’t (Liberty), many of whom have supported him throughout the various scenes and continue to do so.

His resume is impressive with residencies and past appearances at clubs such as Home Nightclub, Progress @ Gas Nightclub, Gas & Bohem Nightclub, Candy Shop @ Stardust, Dendy Bar, Space Nightclub, Bamboo @ Martin Place Bar, Verandah Bar, Chocolate City @ UN. Honey Roasted @ Greenwood Hotel, XXL @ Greenwood Hotel also touring Vietnam in 2005, at Klub Kandy @ Family Nightclub in Brisbane, Reactor: System Critical feat. Endymion & Ophidian, MASIF: The Event along side Sydney's best and also Steve Hill, Luca Antolini, Dark By Design, and Andy Farley, Fight The Future series feat. The Hitmen and Davide Sonar, MANIC feat. Breeze, Squad-e (aka Hypasonic) and Technikal, PHD launch in Brisbane alongside Pulsar & Soul-T, Fantasia series and last but not least Utopia. D rates his biggest events/moments as Fantasia: The Masquerade Ball, Techtronic @ Space Nightclub, featuring one of the worlds biggest trance DJ's Dave Joy and most notably Hard Force featuring some of the biggest names in hardstyle including Zatox, Bobby V, The Scientist, Hellraiser and Alusion. "Those nights were epic for a number of reasons, for Fantasia it was one of my first raves and it opened my eyes to see where I was in terms of other emcees, for Techtronic, It seemed like everything I did came off, plus emceeing for Dave Joy is massive in itself! Hard Force, it was the opportunity to MC for the likes of Zatox, Bobby V, Alusion and The Scientist. Felt like a fish out of water emceeing over hardstyle but the response I got not just from the punters but the actual DJ's was phenominal!"

So what's on D's agenda for the future when he jumps up on the mic? By the looks of his plate at the moment a lot more. ".. When it comes down to it, it's all about the crowd, without them, DJ's, Emcee's, even those behind the scenes wouldn't be given the chance to do what we love..." It's this respect for the crowd and also the fact that he puts 100% when he begins to spit on the mic that will ensure his longevity within the Sydney scene. Even he laughs to himself when he thinks about the past. "Never thought I'd have the opportunity to be able to emcee with the likes of Weaver, Suae, Pulsar, Moto, but the one thing I've realised easy come, easy go..." For the scrawny kid from Sydney's west, the journey has only just begun...
