When you hear the name Doctor, you’ll probably think of one of the many videos he has appeared in, one of the many radio shows you’ve heard him on, or one of the many smash hits he’s provided but there is so much more to this versatile craftsman of the spoken word, so much more which sets him apart from the rest and distinguishes him as a top artist in the urban scene.
Don’t think Doctors rise to the top just happened by chance, this Jamaican born wordsmith is proof that hard work, dedication and masses of talent is the only formula for true success; if you don‘t believe this, just take a look at one of the most rapidly established careers in the UK by an urban artist.
Doctor started as one third of the renowned Top Status later to become South Agents, alongside Drastick and Seb Zero. South Agents southside dominance in the year of the new millennium, remembered by many as the golden era of grime more than introduced the scene to Doctors unique blend of ragga and grime, his ability to switch between the two with equal success is still unparalleled. However it was the hit Come On featuring Riko of Roll Deep, in which Doctor was truly introduced to the rest of the urban scene. This was the first of 9 video appearances and the first single off his multi-thousand selling mix cd Before Surgery.
Doctor achieved national success when he featured on the summer smash Never Wanna Say by Soundboy Entertainment, which reached no 18 in the UK Charts. This is just one of the many successful collaborations he has been involved in; he’s worked with a range of the UK’s finest such as Kano and Ghetto on the track Get Set which was featured on the Run the Roads compilation album, Shizzle and Napper on the huge Swingers, Mutya Beuna, Alicia Dixon, Mike Skinner, Harvey, Megaman and Sticky. The list is endless and international, with collaborations with artists such as ATL and dance royalty DJ Chuckie and Gregor Salto in the dance smash Dun Dat which reached no 1 in Holland. However it is Doctors partnership with mega producer Davinche that has been most impressive resulting in the summer banger Gotta Man and the forthcoming street anthem Street Soldier featuring Ny.
The variety and humour in Doctors distinctive style has made him a ladies favourite and his tours across the UK and Europe to crowds of 75,000 has guaranteed that his crown as ultimate ladies man goes uncontested, it is also his versatility as an artist which has resulted in him being awarded a UMA for Best Newcomer and Best Garage Act. A radio favourite Doctor has been play listed on commercial stations such as Radio 1, Choice FM and Kiss FM and is a frequent on underground stations such as Rinse FM and Raw FM.
From Sidewinder to Eskimo, UK to Holland, Doctor’s done it all but don’t think that’s it, the best is yet to come.

I sent an Angel to watch over you last night, but it came back... I asked, "Why?"... the Angel said: "Angels don't watch over Angels!" i said "we do this one so get your butt back there!"
GOOD FRIENDS ARE LIKE ANGELS YOU DONT HAVE TO SEE THEM TO KNOW THEY ARE THERE...
Review: "Don Goliath's "Bagstep EP" (DDR030) is one of those innovative EPs showcasing how versatile Dubstep can get. The unique idea of creating Dubstep versions of celctic (Irish as well as Scottish) folk classics for all you drunkards longing to sing along was Don Goliath's motto when producing this madness. The concept is as simple as effective: he picked 4 of your grandpa's favourites such as "Old Skibbereen", "Scotland the Brave", "Drunken Sailor" and "Amazing Grace" having the melody played by a definitly non-sober Bagpipe section and then layering it with lofi mid range wobbleism - we therefor call it Bagstep. Overall production quality is high grade with that intense sub focus so you can blow-dry your hair right in front of the bass bins. Now let's get into the tunes: "Skibbereen Bagstep" is one of the melancolic minor tunes expressing Irish history as it is. It is an unmixable 3/4 waltz beat at unusual 154bpm, well dancebal though when one moves to the triplets. "Bagstep the brave" should be one of the sickest rebuilds of the Scottish national anthem making it Mel Gibson's signature tune if he had one. "Drunken Bagstep" is a Glitchfest version of the sailors anthem capable of getting you uberdrunk by listening alone, Arrrr! "Amazing Bagstep" is as religious as it gets making it a tune that'll certainly safe xamounts of lost souls. Enjoying the dancefloor got even easier now: drink out the bar, make your skirt fly and sing along to these (future) classics! Some will hate this release and some will love it, there barely is anything in between. All Dubstep Division crew salutes the latter as our fellow beerheadz! cheeeeeerz!"
